After driverless flying cars and hyperloop, UAE is not planning to set a new benchmark. Something which can just be imagined is going to become a reality. UAE is building an underwater train to Mumbai which will be a total rail network of around 2,000 Km long. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?
Travel From Mumbai To UAE By An Underwater Train
If this project works out people will be able to travel from Fujairah to Mumbai underwater to reciprocate this project, India will be providing UAE with oil and freshwater through pipelines, National Advisor Bureau Limited chief consultant and director Mr Abdulla Alshehhi said this during the UAE-India conclave held in Abu Dhabi.
This is a concept. We plan to connect Indian city of Mumbai with Fujairah through ultra-speed floating trains. The project aims to boost bilateral trade. There will be an export of oil to India from Fujairah port and import of excess water from Narmada River, north of Mumbai. In addition, other GCC partners can also improve export and import,” Mr Abdulla Alshehhi told a gathering of businessmen and industry experts.
Well, this news might surprise everyone, but let us tell you that UAE is not the only country working on a underwater rail project, Chinal is also planning to connect rail network to Canada, USA and Russia. Also Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be connected by a high -speed underwater train by 2022.
